A boat . . . finally

For those of you who know Jason, you know that he has been a boat person his whole life. When we moved to South Carolina in 2006, we had to sell our beloved yellow boat.
Since then, he has been looking longingly at boats. Now that we are in our house, he has been looking more seriously. I have spent several weekends being dragged around to marinas. He really wanted a fishing boat, and I wanted to make sure it was practical enough for all of us to use it. We checked out a couple of new boats, but they were either too expensive or didn't have enough room, or both. Last weekend, Jason found a perfect boat on Craigslist. It is 10 years old, but the owner was obviously in love with it because it is in perfect shape. There's lots of room for us all to take rides and it can pull a tube. We picked it up last night, and now it has a coveted spot in our garage.
Jason was so excited he peed his pants. Seriously, see the wet spot?

Random Happenings

Easter 2009 - We finally remembered to color eggs this year.

Check out Connor's missing front tooth! It was loose, and then he ran into someone's head at school, and it was really loose. The next morning, I came downstairs to find Connor with a piece of dental floss tied to his tooth and Jason pulling on it. It didn't go well. . . It finally fell out on its own a few days later. The other one is loose too, so we will soon have a jack-o-lantern boy.

Connor's school had a carnival last week. Callie waited in a long line to get a butterfly on her cheek. It was pink, of course.

So sweet! They have real love/hate relationship.

Callie has crazy hair day at her preschool today.

Just because she's so cute

Florida Trip

We had a great time in Florida this year. Our first couple of days were a little cooler, so we took the kids to the zoo in Naples.

For some reason, Callie has a constant "plumber crack" no matter what she is wearing.

The kids loved being at the beach and getting buried. For the first time, we could actually sit in a chair while they played, instead of having to chase them all over.

Uncle Jason came down for few days and we took our annual pontoon boat ride to Naples. This time, Callie made sure she had enough shoes, just in case Connor decided to bury some.
